Standard Illinois concrete highway barriers measure 12'-6" long x 32" tall x 22- 1/2" wide at the base and 8" wide at the top.  Highway barriers weigh 2.6 tons each (5,200 lbs).  Barriers connect with a pin assembly.

McCann offers both Rental and Purchase barriers.  Rental barriers are priced per month and footage. 

Barriers are shipped on flatbed trucks.  The contractor is responsible for unloading and setting barrier and reloading if the barrier is being rented.

A maximum of 9 barriers are shipped per truckload.

 

Permanent barriers are also available.  These barriers have a tongue and groove connecting assembly.  They are available in 10' sections only and weigh 2.6 tons (5,200 lbs) each. Permanent barriers are also hauled with a maximum of 9 pcs per load.

 

 

 

 

This style of barrier is Illinois DOT approved, Special 30' Precast Concrete Safety Barrier.  These barriers measure 30' in length x 32" tall x 2'-0" wide at base x 9 1/2" wide at top and weigh 6.7 tons each. This job was installed on a bridge between Missouri and Illinois to reduce crossover accidents.
